Bedroom Makeover

Since starting my blog I have been meaning to do some Home posts but I've been waiting until we've finished all the rooms in our house so I have something to write about. We've now done all the rooms apart from the downstairs bathroom and our en-suite but as we don't spend much time in them there's no rush!
When we moved into our house six months ago we knew we wanted to change the decor in every single room. The living room, dining room and bathroom were some of the first rooms we wanted to decorate as they are the main living areas of the house. We also wanted to change all the bedrooms but the master bedroom was the main priority because we had no furniture and there was an open archway through to my 20 year old step-daughters bedroom next door - not ideal! Blocking up the archway up and decorating both of these bedrooms was the first thing we needed to do. We wanted to go for a warm and cosy look but also didn't want to spend a fortune, through lots of shopping around we managed to achieve this - so here is our finished bedroom!

I'd originally planned a black, white and silver bedroom but we couldn't find a wallpaper we really liked in those colours. When we saw this Grand Decor wallpaper we decided it was the one and everything now needed to fit around that so the colour scheme changed to bronze, ivory and neutral shades.

Our bed is from Next, Bedding from Debenhams, throw from IKEA and cushions from Primark and Dunelm. we managed to achieve the whole look from high street stores so it didn't cost a fortune to completely transform the room. I'm really pleased with the finished look even though it's nothing like I had imagined when I started planning it.
As we have also done the rest of the house there will be more Home posts to come!
