#MyAquaphor Challenge

I was recently asked to take part in the #MyAquaphor Challenge, sponsored by the dermatological skincare brand Eucerin. I was sent a sample of Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm to review and try out to see how it could be used for the whole family. I always like to give an honest review and I can honestly say that it is the best skin cream I have ever used! Read on to see why...

At the time of receiving the sample the skin on my hands was extremely dry and one of my fingers was in such bad condition it was cracked and bleeding and very sore. With a young family and a puppy to look after I am regularly washing my hands and this takes it's toll on your skin, especially at this time of year. I had considered going to the chemist for a medicated cream to help my skin as it was just getting worse.

So when the Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm arrived it was perfect timing! I put some on my sore finger straight away and my skin instantly felt comforted and soothed. I applied it at night time just before going to sleep and after two nights my skin was completely healed and nice and smooth, I was really relieved! I have been using it every night since and my skin is in fantastic condition. Applying the balm at bed time has now become part of my nightly routine. The balm is great for nails and cuticles too so my brittle nails have started to feel stronger for the first time in months.

I was keen to try out Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm for other skincare needs as I had read that it could be used for hands, nails, body, face, lips and even for baby, to soothe their skin. Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm is formulated with only seven ingredients which means it is so gentle it can be used on little ones skin, perfect for my daughter who has eczema and very dry skin. Her hands used to have medicated cream on day and night but as she has got older her eczema has thankfully massively improved and her hands are clear from eczema most of the time. The Aquaphor balm is perfect for protecting her delicate hands from the cold weather and I have been making sure she has some on every morning before school just to give them some extra help.

I have also been using the Aquaphor balm on my lips, again at night so my dry lips can recover while I'm asleep. According to Eucerin, the Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm protects the skin by creating a breathable protective barrier, allowing oxygen and water vapor to circulate to and from the skin, allowing skin to ‘breathe’ and strengthen its natural barrier function. My skin and lips certainly feel rejuvenated in the morning and I feel my skin is protected for a few hours after applying during the day too.

This is my first time trying the Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm but I will now be buying some more to keep around the house and in my bag, this one product has really helped mine and my family’s skin and it's really handy having a cream we can all use. My son plays football and rugby and he can also use the balm to protect his skin while playing out in all weathers.

We have just had our en-suite bathroom refurbished and my Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm now takes pride of place on my lovely new tiles!
