Feeling festive

This is my first post in December and with just over 3 weeks to go until Christmas day everything is now full on CHRISTMAS! There's no escaping the tinsel, lights, trees, decorations, markets, food, adverts, films...and I love it! Christmas is my favourite time of year (apart from the whole season of summer so maybe it's joint favourite?) all the excitement and festivities and the decorating of the tree, I love everything about it.
As we've moved house this year, it will be the first Christmas in our new home and I cant wait to make it feel festive. I've always loved Christmas wreaths but our old house had a horrible, tatty, white plastic door and no wreath would look good hung up there. Our lovely new front door is crying out for one so will be on the hunt for the perfect one this week, I love the one pictured above.
We also need to find the Christmas decorations, they're in a box somewhere with all the other boxes we couldn't be bothered unpacking when we moved, which are all shoved in the loft and garage (their contents probably never to be seen again.) Once we (hopefully) locate them we (I) need to find new places to put them. In our old house I knew where everything went and everything had a certain place. Now it's all new and I'm looking forward to starting some new traditions in our new home.
One thing I'd really love to do is make my own Christmas card holder but I do wonder if I'll have time. At the moment we don't have a card holder and don't want to stick or hang anything on our newly wallpapered walls so hopefully I will find the time to create an amazing Pinterest inspired work of art.
I also want to do some Christmas craft with the kids but with a few busy weekends coming up will have to pick something simple to do.
So a busy few weeks ahead but at this time of year I wouldn't have it any other way.

  1. Good luck finding the decorations! We moved house this year as well and had to search through the loft twice to find some missing items. Hope you find a suitable wreath for your new front door - exciting! Happy Christmas x

    1. Thank you Claire! I'm hoping they'll be in one of the boxes I got round to labeling if not it could take a while to find them. I'll probably find all kinds of things I'd forgotten about! Happy Christmas to you too x
