Korean Inspired Hot Dogs
Following on from my Barbecue Essentials post, here is the first of some delicious barbecue recipes. This Korean inspired recipe is a hot and spicy dish which is a great alternative to the standard barbecued sausages. Give this hot recipe a go and add some extra fire to your barbecue!
For The Hot Dogs:

Ketap Manis
For The Slaw Dressing:
2 tbsps rice vinegar1 tbsp Sriracha
3 tbsps light brown sugar
2 tbsps Dijon mustard
2 tbsps olive oil
½ teaspoon salt and pepper
For The Slaw:
¼ red cabbage, sliced3 spring onions, trimmed and sliced
Red chilli, deseeded and sliced
½ red pepper, sliced
Handful coriander, picked and chopped
Method
- Combine all the dressing ingredients in a bowl and stir together until thoroughly mixed.- Place all the ingredients for the slaw in a bowl.
- Heat the barbecue and cook the sausages on a medium heat, turning every 2-3 minutes until cooked through.
- Pour the dressing over the slaw and stir well.
- Open out your bun and drizzle with ketap manis. Place a sausage on top and pile on the slaw.
- Finish with a drizzle of sriracha. Serve hot.
